The Daily Grog

Hey there, my name is Skylar - I'm a writer and photographer based in Seattle, WA. Welcome to my small corner of the internet.

Most of my writing and photography sits at the intersection of narrative non-fiction and documentary, with food, alcohol, and travel as the primary subjects. Occasionally I'll interview some incredible makers around the world - chefs, distillers, brewers, and winemakers - using their stories to better understand the world.

I'm also an ardent one-bag traveler, constantly refining my packing list so I can focus on the journey.

All updates about me or my projects will go through my weekly newsletter, The Daily Grog.

In Bogotá, Prudencia makes its own rules
